UNDERSTANDING & NAVIGATING HUMAN REACTIONS to change

We are continually challenged to help ourselves and others navigate uncertain, unclear, and complex changes. Our collective resilience and capacity are exhausted. What do we do? We may oversimplify, jump to solutions, or default to old patterns in these moments. We try to figure out new processes but can forget about the impact on the people (and ourselves). Effective leaders understand the diverse human reactions to change and can lead teams through a difficult transition with empathy. Knowing there is no going back to “before,” how do we experiment with new ways of communicating, collaborating, and creating? Through our Model of Perpetual Learning, combined with practices from Adaptive Leadership and Immunity to Change, we will share strategies to accelerate recovery, navigate resistance, and build resilience during times of change.
Learning Objectives
  • Explore fundamental behavioral science behind why and when people struggle with change
  • Define and diagnose what is a technical problem versus an adaptive challenge
  • Discover three strategies to help yourself and others navigate change

Plus! This workshop qualifies for 2 PDC for SHRM.
